Long, and low, but she ain't slow.
The Headhunter is a very custom 1957 Lincoln Premiere, 2 Dr, hardtop. Custom continental kit, with reinforced platform and exhaust routed through the bumper, in lieu of reverse lights. The tail lights have been tunnelled approximately 3” at the top, making the fins appear longer.
The skirts are hand built, and fully shroud the rear wheels, which are driven by a Cadillac differential.
The front clip up to the firewall is from a mid 80’s Cadillac, grafted onto the Lincoln frame. This gives the car power steering, Cadillac brake and suspension components and geometry, and the engine. The engine is actually a 1964 327 mated to a 2004R 4 speed automatic. A 650 Holley double pumper on an Edelbrock Performer intake, 2.02 heads from a sprint car, and dual Sweet-talker mufflers give plenty of go and a great sound.
The front wheel openings have been changed drastically from the original design, giving a significant arch. The truck lid has been decked, the hood has been nosed, and the car is painted in buff colored, high-build primer.
Plenty of stereo is available; there’s a DVD screen, 2 - 10” subs ported through the rear deck’s organ pipe speaker covers, and the interior is remarkably in tact for the age of the car, with only the seats and carpet being upgraded.
